November 2017 Membership Meeting

The ECA November Membership Meeting was held on November 8, 2017 at The Clubhouse in Oak Brook, Illinois.  The meeting kicked off with a special industry panel presentation regarding, “Development & Construction in the Construction Market.”  The panelists were  Curt Bailey, Related Midwest; Drew Nieman (Landlord Representative) CBRE and Cal Wessman (Tenant Representative) CBRE.  They discussed the current and future conditions for the Downtown Office and high-rise residential markets.  Their comments / perspectives of the overall market in downtown Chicago were most compelling, as well as refreshing in the outlook for 2018. 

The nominations were approved and the candidates accepted by the membership for the 2018 Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) Executive Committee.  The 2018 ECA Executive Committee includes the following:   Katie Canino, Canino Electric Company, William Cullen, Sharlen Electric Company, Kendra Dinkins, Taylor Electric Company, Robert Fimbianti, Linear Electric, Inc., Daniel Fitzgibbons, Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions, Frank Gurtz, Gurtz Electric Company, Richard Jamerson, Jamerson & Bauwens Electrical Contractors, Inc., Gregory Kuzmic, Interstate Electronics Company, Eric Nixon, Maron Electric Company, Kevin O’Shea, Shamrock Electric Company, Inc., Thomas Rivi, G & M Electrical Contractors Company, Nick Santoro, JMS Electric, Inc., William Schult, Super Electric Construction Company, David Witz, Continental Electrical Construction Company.  The Association also commends the efforts of William Darnstadt, Lyons Electric Company, Inc. for his years of service on the Executive Committee.  As he exits the Executive Committee, we welcome Nick Santoro, JMS Electric, Inc. as the newest Board member.   We thank all of the members for their continued efforts/ service with Association activities.  The meeting closed with the business portion of the session, which focused on Chapter involvement concerning the joint Trusts, legislative activity, safety updates, among other industry updates.
