Pension Reform Assistance Requested

-Tell Congress to Support the GROW Act!

The multi-employer pension system allows employers of all sizes in the electrical construction industry to pool their resources and help provide a secure retirement for their workers in old age. But for employers to maintain and grow these benefits for their employees, they need to continually grow their business. The Growing Retirement Options for Workers (GROW) Plan provides the keys to unlocking this growth and prosperity for businesses and employees alike.

In response to the challenges facing the multi-employer system, Reps. Phil Roe (R-TN) and Donald Norcross (D-NJ) introduced the NECA-supported bipartisan GROW Plan, which will strengthen and modernize the multiemployer system for the future. Key Features of the GROW Act:

  • Modernizes the multi-employer system
  • Strengthens retirement security for workers while protecting retirees in traditional multi-employer pensions
  • Fosters business growth and competitiveness by providing greater certainty and stability for employers.

The GROW Plan authorizes the creation of a new type of retirement plan that combines key features of defined benefit and defined contribution plans while protecting traditional multiemployer pensions.

Tell your Senators and Member of Congress to support the GROW Act today!
