Though holiday festivities this year will be different than in year’s past because of the pandemic, one thing is certain: the 107th “official” Christmas tree in Chicago’s history will look stunning thanks to Cook County’s unionized electrical industry. Located in Millennium Park near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Washington Street, the tree is a 45-foot Blue Spruce donated by the family of Catherine Townsend of Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood.
