NECA 2019 Labor Relations Conference

The NECA 2019 Labor Relations Conference was held on April 15 – 17, 2019 in New Orleans, LA.  The conference registration was full.  Contractors, NECA staff and representatives of NECA Chapters from throughout the U.S. were in attendance.  The program featured addresses by new NECA President, Larry Beltramo, Rosendin Electric and David Long, new NECA CEO.  The conference had numerous  presentations / break-out sessions which included the following:  Labor Relations Basics, Navigating Unfamiliar CBA Provisions, Attendance Project Report, NECA Labor Update, Congressman Tim Walberg, Grievance Handling, Mock Negotiations sessions, Trustee issues, Employment Law Predictions, Davis-Bacon update, The Future of Health Care and an Electrical Training Alliance update.  The Attendance Project Report is seeing information from NECA contractor members concerning work data – data regarding actual number of hours electricians work throughout the year.  The project is to focus on time worked, productivity, cost savings to contractor for an active workforce.  More information regarding this initial effort can be found by contacting Ryan Pendergraft – Southern NECA Region at:  ryan.pendergraft@necanet.org.  We hope that you will be able to participate with the next NECA Labor Relations Conference.
