The 46th Annual ECA Spring Conference was held June 21 – 22, 2017 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  A number of highlights included the following:  the welcoming of the incoming Executive Vice President, Mark Thomas; 80 individuals were registered for the Conference and nearly 80% of the attendees participated with the Golf Outing on the Brute Course; and the seminar held on the Thursday morning regarding the use of technology on the jobsite and in the office was most successful.

Mark Thomas is a former Chapter Manager from Wisconsin, as well as a NECA Field Representative for Wisconsin.  He is known throughout NECA as being well-versed in labor relations, experienced in running a large, active NECA Chapter and a successful liaison between contractors and NECA’s District 4 and the IBEW’s Sixth District.  We wish Mark well as he takes the reins.

The Technology seminar focused on cost reduction, accelerated cash flow and tighter operations as being among the benefits that many electrical contractors are seeing through the use of mobile devices; learning about deploying devices, methods to protect your assets and proprietary content, tracking devices; learning about software programs for mobile devices that aid in communication and productivity challenges in the field and in the office.  The program closed with a Q & A Panel Discussion from Steve Metzman, iBusiness Technologies, Will Magnuson, PlanGrid and Ben Herstermann, Bluebeam, Inc.

We hope that you will be able to join us next year as the Conference will be held at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin.
