NECA Midwest Regional Conference Highlights / NECA Vision Statement

The NECA Midwest Regional Conference scheduled for April 8 – 11, 2018 at the Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Amelia Island, Florida had 28 Chapter registrants.  The Chapter dinner scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2018 was a successful event.  Highlights of the meeting topics discussed, as well as the presentations during the Conference, included the following:  David Hardt received an Industry Service Award, David Long, NECA President gave a presentation highlighting NECA programming / activities, a labor-management panel discussion with representatives of District 4 and 7 and IBEW District 6, NECA PAC contributions were over $130,000.00, Jerry McGlynn, McWilliams Electric Company, Inc. gave a Safety update on behalf of NECA, the closing presentation was riveting regarding the re-claiming of the USS Cole after an Al-Qaeda bombing.  A number of attendees also visited David Long, NECA President’s Miller Electric Company’s pre-fab operations.  The Chicago & Cook County Chapter also received the NECA Vision Statement plaque; all of the District 4 & 7's Chapters were acknowleged in regard to receiving the plaque.  We hope that you will be able to participate with upcoming NECA events!
