2026 Construction Expo & Safety Conference
March 2 - 3, 2026
The 2026 Construction Expo & Safety Conference was held on March 2 – 3, 2026 at the Drury Lane Conference Center in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The program was a joint effort by the Construction Safety Council (CSC) and the Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates (ASA). Powering Chicago was a major sponsor.
The 2026 Safety Conference offered twenty-four different sessions, allowing for a customized educational experience. Training topics were presented by subject matter experts who are experienced industry leaders. The content was wide-ranging, from fall protection to health hazards to construction law, as well as artificial intelligence, safety leadership, and equipment operations.
The Construction Expo allowed for networking opportunities with general contractors, commercial subcontractors, vendors, and industry professionals to help keep these vital relationships active.
Justin Azbill, Ph.D., The Tribal Group, was the Keynote Speaker on March 3rd. His presentation was called, “Survival Mode: Growth Through Chaos.” He explained and explored what happens when high-performing leaders reach their breaking point – and how growth begins on the other side. His presentation has its origins during a season of burnout, near tragedy, and personal renewal. He challenges safety professionals to rethink strength, success, and sustainability under pressure. Through the delivery of lessons in mindset discipline, emotional awareness, and contextual intelligence, Justin revealed how to transform survival into mastery, convert chaos into clarity, and turn exhaustion into resilience. He offered more than a message of endurance. It is a roadmap for growth to “The ALLY Code” where trust, accountability, and connection serve as the anchors to stay grounded when everything else is in motion. Justin is nationally renowned for his work in construction safety, advocacy, and leadership. For more than three decades, he has led from the field, in the boardroom, and on the frontlines of America’s jobsites. He Builds People – Not Projects.
We thank all of our ECA members who were able to participate with the Conference!
