The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) held its October Membership meeting on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at the IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (INTECH) in Alsip, IL.   Over 80 attendees were able to network at this luncheon event.  The ECA Safety Committee, through a sponsorship from Powering Chicago, was able to offer a promotional item to each attendee for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The item was a long-sleeved shirt with the words, “Safety Always.”  

Along with the Committee reports and industry updates, Don Finn, Local #134 IBEW Business Manager and Financial Secretary, was the guest presenter.  Business Manager Finn discussed manpower issues, organizing efforts, the impact of the upcoming mayoral race, the Coalition for Responsible Data Centers (CRDC) efforts and progression.  After a brief Q & A session, he was met with a round of applause.  We thank Don for his time at the meeting and Powering Chicago for the sponsorship.
