"How to Design Your Company's Internal Processes for Maximizing Profitability" Webinar

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Heather Moore; MCA, Inc. and assisted by Sonja Danesghari, MCA, Inc.

The Electrical Contractors' Association of City of Chicago (ECA) Research and Education Committee recently held a webinar called, "How to Design Your Company's Internal Processes for Maximizing Profitability."  The event was arranged in lieu of an “in-person” program from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 12, 2020.  The seminar was conducted by Dr. Heather Moore; MCA, Inc. and assisted by Sonja Danesghari, MCA, Inc.

Electrical contractors are experts at planning jobs, with or without good drawings and design. However, designing, planning and laying out company processes gets less attention. Individual jobs can be profitable, yet the company may lose money or its access to money based on the company's internal infrastructure design. The class taught fundamentals of process design, to help managers or potential managers learn how to map flowchart, and design or redesign processes and supporting procedures. Specific flowcharting technique was covered, including how to create them, read and analyze them, and use them to design or improve process outcomes.

Following this course, participants will be able to:

  • Map processes to understand the current state;
  • Create various types of flowcharts for mapping, designing, and training on processes and procedures;
  • Read and analyze flowcharts for analyzing and improving process efficiencies; and
  • Understand how processes translate into standard and effective procedure.

We thank Dr. Moore and Ms. Danesghari for their time and expertise with the "How to Design Your Company's Internal Processess for Maximizing Profitability" webinar!
