“A VDVNA Review of the 2021 Revisions” was held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

The session was held at the Drake Oak Brook Hotel, 2301 York Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523

The Chicago & Cook County Chapter, NECA and the Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA presented a seminar called, “A VDVNA Review of the 2021 Revisions” on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.  The VDVNA Review was a summary of items an employer should know when securing a project and utilizing the VDVNA. 

The session was conducted by Mr. David Ward, Midwest Field Representative.  The seminar was complimentary for all NECA members.  

The VDVNA Review was a summary of items an employer should know when securing a project and utilizing the VDVNA.  This summary addressed items such as:

  • Appointments of Stewards*
  • Assent Requirements*
  • Benefit payments
  • Bonding obligations*
  • Determining Vacation credits
  • Dispute resolution under the terms of the agreement
  • Holidays
  • Layoffs
  • Movement of non-Base employees
  • Payday and waiting time
  • Portability*
  • Raceway limitations*
  • Requirements prior to beginning a job
  • Scope Review
  • Shift language and premium change*
  • Travel time
  • Variance procedures*
  • Worker classifications
  • Working members of a firm
  • Workweek differences from your local agreement
