Welcome to the Electrical Contractors´ Association
The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) is a construction trade association that provides business and labor relations services to nearly 600 electrical contractors in Cook County, Illinois. ECA is also known as the Chicago and Cook County Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). The Association works with its industry partner, Local Union #134 IBEW, to negotiate and administer labor agreements, coordinate apprentice and journeyman level training, as well as promote the industry on behalf of these employers. Since 1903, ECA has provided educational opportunities and business services to not only to assist the electrical contractor by improving the business climate and bringing increased profitability, but to enrich future generations. ECA and IBEW Local 134 work hand in hand to provide a highly skilled, efficient and safe workforce for the City of Chicago and Cook County, Illinois.

112th Annual City of Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony (11/21/25)
The Tree Lighting Ceremony was held in Millennium Park - Chicago, IL
The ECA congratulates McWilliams Electric Company, Inc. for facilitating this year’s Tree Lighting for the City of Chicago. Also, the ECA congratulates Taylor Electric Company for completing the holiday lighting on Michigan Avenue.

"Increasing Engagement, Retention, and Development for Employees" Seminar Highlights - November 13, 2025
This session was held at Maggiano's Banquets in Oak Brook, IL.
The ECA Research and Education Committee was proud to have sponsored a seminar called, "Increasing Engagement, Retention, and Development for Employees." This program was held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Maggiano's Banquets in Oak Brook, IL. Stephane McShane, Maxim Consulting Group was the Facilitator. This was the final educational session for 2025.

The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago's (ECA's) November Membership Meeting was held on Wednesday, November 15, 2025 at Gibsons Steakhouse in Oak Brook, IL. This breakfast session had nearly 50 in attendance. The ECA welcomed new member, Meany Inc.!
