ECA 47th Annual Spring Conference

The Electrical Contractors' Association of City of Chicago (ECA) held it's 47th Annual Spring Conference on June 6 - 7, 2018 at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin.

ECA President's Party


The Electrical Contractors' Association of City of Chicago (ECA) celebrated its President's Party. This special event was held at the Sanfilippo Estate on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

Federation of Women Contractors Annual Awards


The Federation of Women Contractors (FWC) held their Annual Awards Celebration - Women Rock 2018 on Thursday, June 7th at Carnivale Restaurant in Chicago. The event was highlighted by vibrant entertainment, music, food and the special industry awards. The ECA congratulates Kendra Dinkins, ECA Executive Committee member on her being awarded the "2018 Community Involvement Award." Congratulations, Kendra!

"Quality in Construction"


The research forQuality in Constructionreport, conducted by Lonny Simonian, a professor at California Polytechnic State University, offers a new method in construction that uses a real-time, interactive process to increase quality and reduce rework.A BIQ program focuses on the initial stages of a quality process by identifying customer expectations, converting these expectations into requirements, developing design operations, and then performing the work.



ELECTRI New Publication:
"Best Practices for Electrical Contractors"


Best Practices for Electrical Contractors, is the result of a 2017 Early Career Award given to Brian Lines, a professor at the University of Kansas. This study included a national survey that identified the top seven most effective change management practices recommended by NECA contractors.Interviews collected lessons and tangible examples of organizational change adoption.

The event is being held September 29 - October 2, 2018. Registration opened May 31, 2018!
